Swapspace: comparing CEX and DEX offers

· updated

SwapSpace is a crypto exchange aggregator that lists centralized exchange (CEX) and decentralized exchange (DEX) offers. Compare offers for identical assets, networks, and amounts, taking their quoted output, estimated time, and provider conditions into account.

Offer details
Quoted output, fixed or floating rate type, estimated transaction time, and the displayed probability of a provider KYC check.
Execution responsibility
The provider that you select executes the exchange. SwapSpace aggregates offers and supplies technical access without operating an order book or offering asset-storage accounts.
Availability
Trading pairs and providers depend on jurisdiction and local regulations. SwapSpace’s restricted-jurisdiction rules apply alongside the selected provider’s terms.

Separate exchange type from rate type

CEX offers come from centrally operated exchanges. DEX offers use decentralized protocols for on-chain settlement. Fixed and floating describe how its quote responds to market movements. Check the individual offer’s rate type when judging how closely its initial output should match the eventual delivery.

A floating quote can change before completion, producing more or less crypto than the initial estimate. A fixed quote locks the output subject to its specified funding window. Late funding can trigger recalculation or cancellation, with any refund subject to provider policies and network fees.

Neither exchange category establishes a universal price or speed advantage. The quoted output and estimated time describe the particular offer for your selected assets, networks, and amount.

Compare costs and verification conditions

SwapSpace describes provider fees as included in displayed rates, with no additional SwapSpace markup. Its Terms of Use, updated May 20, 2026, also list possible network, provider, and service fees. The terms provide for notice before initiation when a provider cannot supply fee information in real time. Read the transaction’s fee disclosures alongside its quoted output.

Crypto-to-crypto swaps require no SwapSpace registration, but providers can request identity verification. Each offer displays a probability of a provider KYC check. SwapSpace can also request compliance information under its Terms of Use.

Estimated transaction times depend on provider processing and blockchain conditions. Compliance reviews can delay a transaction beyond its estimate. Assess the provider’s verification terms alongside its timing estimate when deciding whether an offer fits your needs.

Offer conditions through a deposit-address swap

A quoted output fits the intended transfer only when its receiving asset and network match the destination wallet. For an order that uses a provider deposit address, compare those requirements before sending funds.

Fund the order Send the specified amount to the deposit address that the chosen provider supplies. Use the input asset and network specified for the order. Meet the stated deposit deadline for a fixed quote.
Receive the output After successful processing, the provider sends the converted asset to the specified recipient address. The output goes to the selected target network. Provider processing and blockchain conditions affect completion time.
